Reed Africa (part of Reed Specialist Recruitment) is recruiting on behalf of a well-established international client operating in a high-volume, fast-paced financial environment. We are seeking a detail-driven Accountant to join their regional finance function based in Sunninghill, Johannesburg.
This role sits within a broader regional accounts team, offering long-term opportunities for role expansion, progression, and increased responsibility as the business and finance function continue to grow. It is a hands-on operational role, with no direct reports, ideal for a finance professional looking to build depth before moving into broader scope responsibilities.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
- Raising sales invoices
- Maintaining financial reports
- Posting purchase invoices
- Handling supplier queries
- Posting payments and receipts
- Cross Border Payments
- BOP Code knowledge
- Bank reconciliations and cash control in (Multi Currency)
- Month-end processing and reporting
- High-volume transaction processing
- Preparing journal entries, analysis, and account reconciliations
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Meeting strict processing and reporting deadlines
- Knowledge of Access Dimension software
🔹 Requirements
- Fluency in English
- Degree in Accounting or Finance or Professional Qualification
- Minimum of 3 years experience
- Strong numeracy and analytical skills
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Ability to prioritise effectively
- Quick learner with a proactive mindset
