Sales Manager – International Events

Reed Specialist Recruitment is seeking a talented Sales Manager on behalf of a confidential client to lead sales strategy and execution for a high-profile international event. The successful candidate will drive exhibitor and sponsor acquisition, build key industry relationships, and ensure revenue targets are achieved for a large-scale launch in Africa.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to drive participation and revenue for the event.

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities with exhibitors, sponsors, and partners across diverse industries.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, trade associations, and commercial partners.

  • Negotiate and close exhibition and sponsorship packages, delivering against revenue targets.

  • Collaborate closely with marketing, operations, and content teams to ensure a seamless client experience.

  • Represent the company at relevant industry events and networking forums.

About You

  • Proven experience in B2B sales, ideally within large-scale events, exhibitions, or conferences.

  • Strong track record in securing sponsorships, exhibition sales, and partnerships.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.

  • Degree-level education and 5+ years of relevant experience.

  • Comfortable working to ambitious targets in a fast-paced, international environment.

  • Willingness to travel extensively across Africa and internationally as required.

  • CRM experience (Salesforce preferred) is highly desirable.
