Job Description – Life as an ACS Broker
As a Cargo Aircraft Charter (ACS) Trainee Sales Consultant, you will:
- Manage the entire charter process from initial enquiry to completion, working closely with all stakeholders.
- Build a list of potential customers by researching databases, websites, LinkedIn, and trade publications.
- Proactively engage prospects through outbound calls, emails, and visits (both virtual and face-to-face) to convert them into ACS clients.
- Develop and maintain relationships with cargo operators to access the widest range of aircraft for customer solutions.
- Maintain relationships with customers to secure repeat business.
- Work toward sales targets and financial objectives.
- Demonstrate expert understanding of aircraft and the chartering process.
- Present bespoke quotes to customers, demonstrating strong commercial acumen.
- Monitor and oversee flight departures and operations (may involve unsociable hours).
- Travel with cargo when required to ensure smooth and efficient transportation.
- Manage operational issues and conflicts confidently, ensuring client satisfaction.
- Receive and respond to urgent charter requests virtually 24/7.
- Produce professional documentation and presentations using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Qualifications – The Person
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum 2 years of sales experience, including cold calling.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations and provide solutions on the spot.
- Strong commercial judgement and business acumen.
- Proven results-driven and goal-oriented mindset.
- Excellent numeracy, communication, and interpersonal skills. Must be fluent in English.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
- Confidence in managing conflict during operational challenges.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally at short notice.
- Must hold a valid passport.
- Ability to meet the requirements for an Airside Security Pass, including a criminal record check.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Available 24/7 for clients when urgent charter requests arise.
